EXTRA EXTRA!!!

For those of you that don't know...Nick and I are building a house....Yup...building a house!! In the beginning I thought how fun this would be...now...I think it is the craziest thing ever!! lol

So many choices...and running here...and there...and measuring things...the best part...is buying the things:))))) yaaaaa shopping I CAN handle;) lol After awhile the ceramics all look the same, and what is the difference between toilets...well let you tellllllll you!! lol They now have everything from the button on the side to the button on the top, square, round...what a head spinning experience. But, we are having fun with it, and very excited for next week when they will break ground. My new home will be in Pincourt, west of Pointe-Claire. At the moment there is only a sign marking our lot number but I will keep you all updated as it is being built. Sarah is very excited also--she has picked out her new bedroom set, and has been helping with choosing colors for the brick and windows.

Well...I had such a huge chuckle from this picture, that I really had to add my "two cents". My sister in Calgary sent this picture stating how much snow they have.

Calgary......and their snow.......
Montreal...and their snow....

Picture taken from my window...front of our building...March 25th, 2008. So as you can all see...I think it may just be June by the time we see any cement...lol

EASTER WEEKEND

We couldn't ask for better ski weather still in Quebec! There are loads of snow...and the conditions are amazing! BUT....it is cold. I guess we can't have it all...lol We had a very nice Easter in Tremblant. Even though Nick and Mitchell are Greek and only celebrate at the end of the month they made our Easter very special.

Nick cooked a turkey and a ham, made sweet potatoes and reg. ones....got chocolates for the kids and a nice Easter cake from a pastry shop. And of course he couldn't forget the Momma--I got my present early --a beautiful swarovski bracelet. He had invited friends of his for dinner with their twin sons. They are Greek also but enjoyed the celebration. They brought some Greek pastries. It was a really nice evening.
Unfortunatly, I was having such a great time I forgot to take out my camera during dinner:( Here are some pictures of the kids at Tremblant.

EXTENDED HOLIDAY

Due to extreme snowfall...then...extreme rainfall schools were again closed today. Lucky for Sarah and I that our Easter Break was due to start tomorrow!! We now only go back to school next wed.!!

It has been a very crazy time in Montreal due to the snow we have recieved. There has been alot of buildings including schools (not from our board) that their roofs have caved in. So until further notice I am home with a paid vacation:)

I have decided to take full advantage of this...and go shopping...lol

HAPPY EASTER TO ALL, and also HAPPY NEW YEAR to those who are celebrating.

A-MUST DO

Some of you must know how this feels...go to the doctor, and they say to you--"ohh you just need to loose weight and you will feel better". I think maybe sometimes there is no other answer so ...just loose some weight!! In my case, I would have to agree. Loosing weight most likely would help me feel a bit better. I have been struggling with high blood pressure since the age of 15 and now, it is no better. The doctors made me wear a machine for 48 hours taking my pressure every half hour, and his solution is..."loose some weight". He wants to see me back in his office in three months with 10 pounds less. Easy right...just take off my coat and boots that he weighed me with...lol

No, I joined the gym. I sat in my car outside the gym for over 10 minutes feeling very uneasy about walking into a place I knew had loads of sweat and muscle, which I had neither of. Then, a thought came to me, once I was a size 22-24...now I am a size 12-14 I CAN DO THIS!! Last week I was day one...since I hired a trainer...and have total faith that I will once again get back in shape.

Could anyone send me some bengay?

MARCH BREAK-DAY TWO-5

Nature Museum--nothing like having your head chewed off by a dino;)

Wave pool at the hotel. Sarah's eyes were so red at the end of the evening I had to rush out and get eye drops. They just didn't want to get out!! lol

This picture was taken at the Nature Museum...thought some family members would get a kick out of this one;)

Nick and the kids are playing a memory game at the Science and Technology Museum. There was alot of hands on for the children --and adults.

Sarah said it looked like a duck with lipstick...she wanted moms picture with it...lol

Crooked house--made you feel very strange to walk in.

We had a wonderful March Break...I can't say that it was relaxing because I felt like most times I was on a marathon with the kids:)

We did alot of skiing, and got some night skiing in as well. That made the kids happy since they have been bugging for night skiing all season.

We spent some time in Ottawa and visited museums which the kids really seemed to enjoy. We stayed at a place that had an indoor water park...so they swam like fish for the two days we were there.

All in all--we had a great week:)

Even better......

....my boss phoned sunday night to inform me that monday was a snow day...so monday was a pj day and it felt great...couldn't ask for a better way to wrap up the break:)

St. Bruno --night skiing

MARCH BREAK-DAY ONE

Day one was fabulous!!
We went and played Laser Tag. Gosh...I never realized how much cardio it really is!! The kids had a blast! (and so did I) We ran around with vests that light up...and laser guns, hiding in the dark waiting ...fun stuff.
Then...the kids were having ski withdrawal, so we went night skiing at Mont St. Bruno. The weather just couldn't be better. It was plus 8!! We got two hours in...and the kids said to me that it just wasn't long enough...who needs the gym when you have two pulling you to keep moving? lol But...I wouldn't have it any other way:)
